OptiPix Speech to Text converts spoken words to written text in real-time using the Web Speech Recognition API. Click 'Start Listening' to begin live transcription from your microphone. Supports 50+ languages. Continuous mode keeps listening until you stop. Interim results show in gray while final results appear in black. Edit the transcript, copy to clipboard, or download as a .txt file. Chrome sends audio to Google for processing; Safari processes on-device for maximum privacy.
How It Works
The tool uses the Web Speech Recognition API (SpeechRecognition/webkitSpeechRecognition). It captures audio from your microphone, sends it to the browser's speech recognition engine, and returns transcribed text with interim and final results.
